I work with owners, managing directors, management teams, private equity investors, CROs, and other decision-makers who need an independent, operational view of how a business is performing—and where its potential, risks, and bottlenecks lie.
My support is particularly valuable when a company is preparing for or undergoing restructuring, when performance falls short of expectations, during periods of rapid growth or transformation, or when investors and management require an operational assessment before making important decisions.
I assess the business across the entire value chain—not only through numbers and reports, but by examining how work actually flows, where responsibilities and interfaces are unclear, where information is lost or distorted, how resources are being used, and whether visible problems are symptoms of deeper issues elsewhere.
For private equity and restructuring situations, this operational perspective complements the financial view. It helps clarify what is really happening inside the business, what can realistically be improved, where action is required, and how identified potential can be converted into measurable results.
Sometimes the challenge is clear. Sometimes the numbers show that something is wrong, but not why. And sometimes there is simply a sense that the organization should be capable of more.
All three are good places to start.
My approach is based on practical experience across almost the entire value chain—from sales, procurement, and purchasing to project management, production, supply chain management, and customer service. I do not see a company as a collection of isolated departments, but as a connected value chain in which every part affects the others.
When a problem becomes visible in one area, its root cause may lie elsewhere—in an earlier process, an unclear responsibility, poor information transfer, or a weak interface.
I therefore look beyond symptoms and ask how information is generated, transferred, and used; where responsibilities are unclear; and whether the apparent bottleneck is actually the source of the problem.
Processes do not exist independently of people. ERP systems can structure workflows and data, and AI can support analysis and decision-making, but successful implementation still depends on clear responsibilities, effective communication, and people working toward a common goal.
I work closely with teams to understand how things function in practice—not only on paper. I particularly enjoy being on site, seeing challenges firsthand, identifying opportunities, and developing solutions together with the people involved.
The most rewarding part is seeing the results: smoother processes, disappearing bottlenecks, measurable improvements, and teams gaining confidence in what they can achieve.
My background is in Industrial Engineering, and I began my career in the United States as an Industrial Engineer at General Motors. That experience shaped my practical, solution-oriented approach: there is always a solution, and often more is possible than initially appears.
Since then, I have worked with corporations, mid-sized companies, and start-ups across different industries and in the United States, Germany, Europe, and Eastern Europe. Before moving to Germany, I worked for Krones Inc. in Milwaukee as an Industrial Engineer and Project Manager. I later continued my career with Krones AG in Germany.
This international experience gave me insight into different business cultures, management styles, and approaches to communication and decision-making.
Around 16 years ago, I began taking on freelance interim management and consulting assignments. Since then, I have managed complex projects and worked operationally across almost the entire value chain.
This hands-on experience defines how I work today. I understand the importance of dependencies, interfaces, responsibilities, risks, potential and implementation—and I know that sustainable improvement requires both sound processes and the involvement of the people who work with them every day.
I am based in Germany and welcome projects worldwide.
This is where I can help: by looking at the complete value chain, identifying root causes and opportunities, developing practical solutions, and working alongside your team through implementation until the results become visible.
